Another loss in the SMCNA Family

Unread postby Mike Downey » June 25th, 2011, 8:42 pm

Lance Handrich, from WI passed away this morning from a heart attack. I am not sure of all the details. He loved his Munsterlanders and loved to hunt.He drove all the way from Northern WI to SE Oklahoma to pick out his Blue Moon Pup and spent his first night back home sleeping on the kitchen floor to keep his pup company.LOL We will miss him.

I pray that his family and friends remember the good times.
Also...that his 'Blue Moon' doesn't stay down too long...
God Bless his family.

I never met Lance, but if his family reads this, they have Hira and my condolences.

It is a good idea to leave written instructions as to what you want for your dogs in case you depart this earth before you thought you would. I left more than enough money in my will to the SMCNA to see that our munsters are re-homed properly in the event they lose their owners. Hopefully it won't come to that, but tomorrow is not guaranteed to anyone. Sober, but necessary thoughts.

It is very sad to hear about Lance's death. He owned several SM through the years. Lance attended several SMCNA Conferences and I was lucky to judge his last SM in it's NA test. Lance was so proud of her performance and score.

Lance was a big strong young man. It is hard to believe a young man like Lance would pass so soon.

It is such a loss for his friends and family. My prayers are with you all.

Very sad news. Such a young man. Thoughts and prayers go out to all that knew him.

I didn't know Lance but wish I had from peoples' comments. If there is anything our club can do to help his family out I hope they will contact a board member. Such a sad situation.
